TESTING, TESTING
Today I’m doing one of the stupidest things I’ve ever done AND wasting time that I do not have to waste. I am going to look closely at ALL of the WordPress templates to see which have the following options: CUSTOM HEADER, FULL TEXT SEARCH, EDIT FROM BLOG, WIDE TEXT, and LEGIBLE PRINT.
To run the SEARCH TEST, I need a few entries with over five lines. I think one of my blog entries is already that long, and maybe one of my non-profit entries too. And just to be sure I need to type a few more lines for this entry. Why am I doing this? I am trying to create numerous different blogs, and I want to know which templates might be suitable for which blogs. In fact, I just thought up a new blog on PHENOLOGY. We’ll see….
MORE BLOGS
Today I added two WordPress blogs that will let me retire three Blogger blogs. I might even retire them all because what I really should be doing is keeping my bird lists in a database, either Excel or maybe eBird. I got very frustrated by the different search tools on the different WordPress templates.
TODAY’S ACHIEVEMENTS
Decided to change themes for this progress blog. I think I like Sapphire better than Contempt, but I’ll need to play with it for a day or two before I’ll know. Also typed up January 1979 for my NATURALIST’S JOURNAL blog.
BACK TO MY BLOGS
I wonder what it means when Word Press slows down? Probably heavy traffic. All I can say is that it’s frustrating. Then there’s the double and triple posting. I wonder what was going on that night? Maybe I’ll work on my Blogger blogs tonight just to see how they’re doing.
PROGRESS?
I decided to delete 2 Word Press blogs and 1 Blogger blog. Now will I be able to focus on the important ones?
WHERE I’M STARTING
As of today I have 14 blogs with Blogger, 2 with JournalSpace, and now 6 with Word Press. I guess I’m kind of like a kitten on the keys: if I have enough blogs going maybe I’ll surprise myself by saying something that matters? Who knows? Who cares? There’s apparently enough space in cyberspace for me to keep dancing around on these keys and maybe randomly, statistically I’ll create something that pleases me. We’ll see….
